The VEBS offers a spiritual home, is a platform for cooperation and a service provider for its members, particularly in the search for employees and further training.
It also represents the educational institutions in public and helps to found new Christian schools and daycare centers.
The VEBS Academy offers extensive further training for the various employee groups and a wide range of opportunities for exchange in specialist groups, as well as producing teaching aids and much more.

The Christian educational institutions in the association range from nurseries to elementary school, secondary schools and grammar schools to vocational training and offer a Christian school education with fully recognized state qualifications.

The Verband Evangelischer Bekenntnisschulen und Kitas (VEBS e.V.) unites around 210 Christian schools and daycare centers that work on the common basis of the faith of the Evangelical Alliance in Germany.

In the Federal Republic of Germany, Christian denominational schools are not only entitled, but in accordance with Article 7 of the Basic Law and supreme court rulings, even obliged to base their teaching on the Christian confession in a meaningful way. The staff in the VEBS educational institutions are devout Christians whose pedagogy is determined by the Bible and the Christian view of humanity.

The VEBS is a ministry of the German Evangelical Alliance and a member of Netzwerk-m e.V.. In Germany, it works closely with the Verband Deutscher Privatschulen e.V. (VDP) , is a member of the worldwide alliance “Association of Christian Schools International” (ACSI) and is involved in the Global Christian Schools Network .
