Conditions of participation for events organized by VEBS e.V.
By registering, you accept the following conditions of participation:
Registration
Upon receipt of your registration, you will receive a confirmation of registration by e-mail. Your registration is then binding. Depending on the type of event, you will receive further information (program, travel directions, etc.) one to two weeks before the event.
Data protection
We assure you that we handle the data confidentially and also inform the participants of this handling.
Image, sound and film recordings
If necessary, image, sound and film recordings will be made at these VEBS events for use and publication for the purpose of advertising or public reporting and these will also be stored at storage locations outside Germany and the EU. If you do not agree to this, please inform us in text or written form before the start of the event. You are not authorized to take or publish photographs showing other participants.
Confirmation of participation
Depending on the type of seminar or conference, you will receive a certificate of attendance.
Certificates of participation will only be issued for full participation in the event.
Payment
For chargeable events, you have various payment options depending on the seminar and payment amount: SEPA direct debit (recommended by us), instant bank transfer, credit card.
Our seminars are calculated in such a way that payment is made via the Ententbrite platform without any effort on our part. Invoicing by bank transfer by you causes the VEBS a high administrative effort and is only possible in exceptional cases for an (additional) cost contribution of 9 euros per participant, at least 18 euros per invoice.
Cancellation by participants
Participants may cancel their booking up to the end of the 11th day before the start of the seminar. If the last day of the period falls on a Sunday or a public holiday recognized by the state at the place of declaration or performance or a Saturday, the next working day shall take the place of such a day (§ 193 BGB). In the event of cancellation in good time, seminar and conference fees paid in advance will be refunded.
If you nominate a substitute participant, there is no cancellation fee.
Unfortunately, no reimbursement can be made for services that have not been accepted in full. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance (e.g. www.elvia.de) for high seminar, conference and travel costs.
Cancellation by organizer
We reserve the right to cancel events, e.g. if the number of participants is too low, up to the end of the 5th day before the start of the seminar.
In the event of the speaker reporting sick at short notice, the VEBS may appoint a substitute speaker.
If a seminar cannot take place, no mutual claims shall arise. Any seminar and conference fees paid in advance will be refunded to those participants who do not wish to attend an alternative date offered.
Costs incurred as a result of the seminar being canceled, such as loss of working hours or travel expenses, will only be reimbursed if VEBS is at fault.
Warranty by the VEBS
The VEBS events are prepared and carried out conscientiously. However, the organizer cannot accept any liability for damage caused by inaccurate content and recommendations or by the exploitation of acquired knowledge.
VEBS shall not be liable for any damage arising directly or indirectly from the organization of an event. This does not apply to damage caused by injury to life, limb or health / caused by gross negligence on the part of VEBS / caused intentionally or through gross negligence by legal representatives or vicarious agents of VEBS.
Final provisions
Should one or more clauses of this contract be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remainder of the contract. The invalid clause shall be replaced by mutual agreement with a valid clause that comes as close as possible to the economic or legal purpose of the invalid clause.
All amendments or additions to this contract must be made in writing. This also applies to the waiver of the written form requirement.
